Skin with bigger fonts?

I would like to see a skin with bigger fonts. This applies for nearly everything like buttons, text, OSD, except for the home screen and EPG titles.

On my 76 cm TV screen from 3-4m distance, the text are very hard to read. If I or my wife can read it depends on the contrast. Made a real test with my music yesterday.
Everything is fine, when I sit 1m in front of TV, but not when I sit whre I usally sit on the sofa :wink: .

I can´t do it myself, though.
I will try to set font-size by myself, but for sure the graphics won´t fit.

I tried all skins like metalmedia, crystalcenter, silicon and naley.

I append a vote because I am curious, if more people have similar difficulties reading the screens. Please give your comments, too.
BTW, My eyes are at 100%, at least with glasses on. :wink:

O.K. I Enlarged all fonts by 2 points.

I think standard text for lists in my music etc. is 10pt. I made it 12 pt.
(It is in the skin folder a file named fonts.xml (or was it font.xml, can´t remember which). It is easy to alter.
The optical mess is smaller then I thought (Tried with crystalcenter).

The result is comfortable to read.

60:40 for bigger fonts. Thats close. Lets see how it develops.

Not really much traffic in this thread. I´ll give you the result as of today.

At the moment the poll shows that two thirds of the users would like bigger fonts (9:5).
Hopefully one of the skinners will take that into account.

I second this. Especially news and film infos are hard to read sometimes.

What also may be helpful, is if you could poll for screensize/distance, and then an approprite font size could be determined. That is, I use a 28" @ 2, viewing distance, or 45" widescreen @ 4m. Make any sense?

Since I have put a decent video card in my Via sysem, I can use MP with TV in the background.
Ubercool, but GUI text is very hard to read then.
Bigger fonts and possibly outlined fonts are required, IHMO.

In case you spice up the poll : I use a 15" LCD screen, viewing distance is about 2 meters or so.
