Fidoboy - Regarding the transparent shadow effect, it will depend what software you are using. Then many times you can find tutorials online which could help you through creating a special look, like glowing or transparancy or etc.

Basically you will need to make a copy of the visible items (make sure that anything you don't want in the "shadow" is not visible) and place it in anew layer then rotate that layer to match it up at the bottom of your original buddy. Then you will need to fade the bottom portion of this rotated new layer. Look here: http://www.elated.com/tutorials/grap...toshop/fading/ as a tutorial. Then after you have that all done you will need to set the transparency of that layer to what you think looks good.

Here is another tutorial: http://www.phong.com/tutorials/sphere/

And here also: http://pstutorialsblog.com/?p=78

And finally here: http://www.moesrealm.com/photoshop/reflections.html

Have fun!

yes this skin is basically dead i was working on updating it but i reformatted my htpc and reinstalled mp and now when i try to watch videos it constantly black screens on me so i found no reason to try to fix the skin since i could not even use it or even test it properly without having to cold boot so now i'm stuck using yahoo's go tv app because it'll actually play videos but i miss mp alot

Fidoboy skin editor is also a project wich is never finished.

To get the skin running the best thing to do is copy a xml file from another skin e.g. bluetwo and han use a text editor to change the graphics referenced, to the ones from the Black Myst skin.
