Skin and Plugin Intergration woes...

I have to be honest now, and I think its a major short coming of all skins... There is no REAL integration with other plugins or installation guides etc.

When you download a plugin it will have a skins directory with .xml files in there and some images.

Now I know the images and .xml files are required, but could maybe a select number of skins (Top5 by popularity) be selected for development and integration with say the top 5 plugins. With detailed installation guides based on the version of Media Portal etc.

For plugins like:

1. MyTV
2. MyFilms.
3. MyEmulators etc

MyEmulators seems to only be configured to work with Blue two wide, which personally I dont use, and from what I see not many other people do either.

Now if Im missing something then someone help me out, but I have tried to find details on this, and one of the headaches I have is trying to install everything and run it with one skin obviously.

What does eveyone else think?

I think a major improvement to skin installations would be the addition of what items in Media Portal must be set for the skin to work perfectly, such as Thumb nail stuff, I mention this because I still cannot get DVD cover art to appear in my small and large icons!!
