Default Skin request : Anamorphic for 16:9 CRT

Most skins here for 16:9 displays doesn't display right on a CRT if you're using S-VHS, since you have to use 800x600 or 1024x768 display for MediaPortal to fully fit the screen. The text fields are sqeezed together etc.

If you use 4:3 skins an stretch them (TV 16:9 mode), it will give you the opposite effect. Is it possible for someone to produce an anamorphic skin please?

Or do I have to use my TV's zoom and use a higher resolution output from my computer?

Could it be that you did not calibrate your display in MP? You have to make the rectangle a real square (MP GUI/Settings/Calibration... somewhere near there). If you did that you can use any widescreen skin.

I have it calibrated alright. It's just that when there's long text like TV episode titles, it's not displayed in the best possible manner. Or is there some global text size setting for lower resolutions that I can edit to make it display better?

Thanks

You can try editing the file fonts.xml in your skin folder to change font sizes globally. If you wanna change it for special screens, you have to edit the skin xml file for those screens.

Maybe that helps. Or I didn't understand your original request correctly.
