Default Visualisations workaround howto

i'd like to stop mp from displaying the visualisations when music is played.
mce 2005 displays a large albumcover instead which, i feel, makes more sense (and i have a psychedillic visualisation aversion)

so any chance of a workaround (or better yet something in the settings i've missed) or should i just get used to it?

Hi MissSophie,

simply go to the music-settings in configuration. If you choose "DirectShow" there instead of "WMP 9" as your "Audio renderer", visualisations should be gone...

Or try to use "album cover" as visualization in Windows Media Player.
