That looks like an excellent selection, but you should put TV in there as well imho.

Agreed. TV should be added.

FYI: I use the current items most:

TV
TV Series
Movies
Music

How about a plugin (or external application) that will allow you to change what options are shown on the menu by insterting the fields into the xml files for you? That way anyone could have anything on their home menu. It could also allow for an easy way to both preview/add/remove/manage backgrounds or background packs. I really see this skin as being the most customizable of any previous one.

Any thoughts on that?

A good idea, if anyone's got the skills to write the plugin. At the moment my homescreen uses images for the menu options but it would be fairly simple to change them to labels which the plugin could alter.

Any takers?

Well, I was going to write it if there was interest in that happening. Unless someone has a problem with that?

Is the basichome pretty well done as far as the methodology used in creating it? I see that a button is used for each position on the menu when scrolling. Is that the what you are sticking with?

np, we can use all the help. I added the xml's that antony made to svn . The dialogprogress is great (subtle) and the albuminfo needs some little tweaks.

That would be SWEET!
Any chance in it being able to work for any skin instead of just this one?
Or is that what you have in mind already?

Well, this skin is completely different in how the basic home works than most other ones but I don't see why that wouldn't be possible. I would probably have to add support for some skins as I went but most would be pretty much the same.

Hey folks, been away for a couple weeks, since the completion of my HTPC project has been delayed to january.
Has a beta version of this skin been released yet?
