Default Language strings not uninstalled with plugin?

I added a string to my new MPI, and it successfully got added to strings_en.xml.

However, when I Uninstalled the plugin, the string was not removed again. In fact I had to manually edit the file to get rid of the string...

Yes, this is true, but i don't think if you leave the strings in file harm something ....
