I need some icons for follow categories :

Skins
Utilities

TV Logo

And a icon for mpi files, updated, new, local, online mpi files.

Just a suggestion, could one of the team members update the sticky's for plugin devs with this installer info because a lot of the devs do not know about this I think...

Wouldn't it make more sense to use the skin gfx style for the icons on the MPI? I think it would give the MP users a more complete experience - making the parts better connected.
Here is a little test of what it could look like with the BlueTwo gfx style

My suggestion is that the BlueTwo designer (Or what ever skin the new version will be "shipped" with) makes the gfx, if he/she want to of course.

When submitting/updating a plugin should you submit twice? One in this format and one in the current standard zip/rar file?

No, only one format. Basically the mpi file is a zip, if somebody don't want to use the installer, only rename to zip and install it in old way.
If use mpi format pls submit in right place

I like thus very much and it will be much easier for the user.

I tried to pack "My Chess". It has now serveral subfolder in the skin folder. Somehow the zip went wrong. He but all subfolder into one folder ??? Also the one textfile from the other folder went into read me.

Hi dukus,

I have test the MPInstaller. It is working great so far.
But I miss a small feature...
... the possibility to remove files (or even complete folders) .

The background for this request:
My WorldMap plugin offers the possibility to configure the urls that are used to download the map tiles. These settings are stored in a separate xml file which is different from the other settings. The idea was to delete this file when I came up with a new version of that plugin. That would make sure that the default urls (that I've updated) are used again.

Deleting Folder would be also handy for skin installation packages (I know that this is a future topic...), because they have to delete cache folder of there skin.

I solve your problem, BUT for good working you need to customize the OutputFileName properties with path and file name like :
for file
C:\Prog\MyChess\Release\skin\BlueTwo\Media\Chess\W ooden\background.png

Type : Media
subtype : BlueTwo
OutputFileName : Chess\Wooden\background.png

!! IMPORTANT !!

Need to be set a default skin files, this files used for not supported skins
Do that with set the DefaultFile properties to true
