When playing music i would like to see the album art instead of the fancy visualizations.

And tips?

Maybe disable the fancy Visualizations? just a thiought. :-)

The fancy and disturbing visualization disappears, but the album/cover art does ony comes up for a few seconds, and when changing song

Works perfect for me.
Which version of Mp are you running?

You're talking about the window, which is displayed bottom left. Correct?
Or are you talking about Fullscreen? Fullscreen only displays the vis and an album info on change.
