| Portal Member | I'm going to slowly build up my music library from scratch and would like to know the best format to use when ripping my music cd's. Also which database have people used in conjunction with MP to get the best results? Cheers, Dan |

Country: | MediaPortal can read in ID3 Tags and uses that to organise the data. So as long as your music files have ID3 Tags then you are sorted. I personally use a mix of either AAC files or MP3. MP3s tend to be older CDs (i.e. ones ripped before AAC existed!) |
