Hi
It seems I can`t find any search options on my MediaPortal installation.
I tried to figure out how to switch views, but couldn`t find anything where to change it. (in config I tried but it didnt affect the GUI).
Are there Search Options Available ?
How to activate them ?
A Media Portal without searching the whole database would be somehow strange...and I can`t believe bevause of such a nice piece of software I saw until now.

Additional Information:
I try to rip all my cd`s into own foldern, so each album is in one folder, and i only use FLAC Files...

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Christian

You might want start reading the wiki regarding Setup and Using MyMusic.

Also have a look at the GlobalSearch plugin

HI
Thanks for the hints
Thought that the global search will be displayed in the main MyMusic area, so i didnt find it after installing.
Well, in fact that would be nice...

Anyway, now this thing starts to get interesting

well it can be included.
open mediaportal.xml with a text editor
find the section "musicmisc"

insert:

<entry name="useglobalsearch">yes</entry>

now when you press the Search button and the GlobalSearch Plugin is installed, it'll be used instead of the default search.
