fixed No more upmix to 5.1 from recent SVNs

It seems that the recent SVNs no longer upmix properly. At least with today's release, I get no output from my rear speakers when playing MP3 files, even though I have enabled upmix to 5.1 (BASS player) in the MP configuration. There are no errors in the logs. IIRC, this worked correctly with the 2.3.0 stable release.

Have not changed anything in BASS since a while.
must be related to your installation. try reverting back to 0.2.3 stable and see if it still works there.

Sorry, my bad! After restoring my last 2.3.0 stable release (SR) configuration, I still had no rear channel sound. So I started to suspect it had something to do with something else in my configuration (outside of MP).
As it turned out, due to rolling back to a backed up OS installation before installing MP 2.3.0 SR, my sound card was only configured for 2 channels! After configuring it for 4 or 6 channels I get rear channel sound. I still can't quite get an ideal situation, because I actually have 4.1 instead of 5.1. If I choose 4 channels, I get no subwoofer output. OTOH, with the sound card set for 6 channels, the center channel information is removed from the front channels, making them quite weak. For the time being I will just settle for 4 channel, unless you know a better way to configure MP for 4.1. Thanks for responding, now all I have to do is upgrade to SVN again!
