No tracks are being played

Hi There,

I recently upgraded to SVN 17839 and now i cannot play any tracks in any album using the Bass player or the Winamp plugin, regardles whether they are MP3 or WMA. The only way to get this to work use the INternal dshow player.

I get the message "Track information not available" in the MP Client and the following error for each track in the error.log. These files do not have any DRM problems with them.

I have tried removing the music database ansd rebuilding it. I have tried not using the database... but nothing seems to resolve the problem. And i really do not want to go back in SVNs as the TV3 Server engine works as a beauty inb tis version.

clicking the file in Shares Vew plays it fine.
so the file itself is ok.

From the log you've posted i see that playlist manager is involved.
are any other files in the playlist before that?
How dd you start playback? pressing "P" on the file?
did you start playback from Shares View or from a Database View?

Helmut,

I have tried all different possible ways, but i always hit the play button on my FireDTV remote...which i think correlates to "P".

From the shares view - no go
From any database view - no go
Pressing play from the album view (not individual song) - no go

I just thought of a thing btw... even if i press play on only one song when i am in the share view, drilled down into an album... MP tries to play all songs in that album, hence the listing if all songs in the error.log. It shouldn't do this... should it? It is as if MP wants to play a playlist even though i only want to play one song.

When you press play, we add all songs to the playlist. this is ok.

Is there anything i can do to help debugging this? If there are any DLLs or other files from olders SVNs you want me to use, please let me know and i will do so.

i'll try some things out on my side first.
however i've some private things left for the weekend and leaving on Sunday for a business trip until Thursday.
so it might take a while before i come back to you.
