1st attempt to play video always fails in MyVideos, works after stop and new play - Page 2

I use the latest stable! 0.2.2.0. I will reinstall it this evening just for testing! Is it sufficent to uninstall and reinstall or should i do some more steps to be sure to have a clean system?

So now I installed the latest SVN of 15.01.07 and everything is ok! I think it's time to say "thank you" to the devs for the best htpc-software available to date! :-)

I'm having the same problem. I have to exit the file and reopen it for it to play the first time.

I've tried every build, pretty much, there is. It does seem to be something to do with that "Exclusive DirectX for tearing" setting, as if I turn this off, I have no problems, except I have awful tearing!

Anyone got a solution for this problem? Desperate to try to fix this.

For me the "Exclusive DirectX for tearing" setting didn't fix anything with the official release. Only the SVN fixed it. So this is kinda funny...

I had this problem. I have a Geforce 7600GS and had been playing with my custom resolution settings. I'm pretty sure the fix was setting a different monitor timing.

I'm not sure what you mean by "timings." I have my PC hooked up to my Samsung 1080p LCD TV. Is there anything I should adjust to fix this issue? Any advice really would be appreciated.

Monitor timings. Look in your graphics card settings.

or if you actually want useful information, try posting your spec.

same problem same solution(start stop video)
thought it might have something to do with the divx toolbar
but if its happening with dvd files aswell maybe not

well, i guess i'm in the club too

mp 0.2.2.0+svn (three days old)
playing only some video files (divx) gives me the black full screen, windowed is ok. unfortunattly can't get fullscreen video with stop/play trick. same video files plays well with other players ofcourse.
never saw this behaviour with 0.2.2.0 stable...
