It Seems that alot of people including my self is having trouble with the dvd player in MP.

Why cant u fix this? I have posted many times on this issue and nothing happens.

All dvds work fine outside MP in Powerdvd for example.

FIX things that dont work before adding new stuff......

I'm also seeing this issue, I get sound but the screen just stays on the home screen background. DVD playback was always fine in the past. It's a little frustrating as I don't have a standalone player anymore so rely on Mediaportal to watch my dvd collection.

I got another anoying problem.

When I press play dvd in media portal the drive spins for like a sec them a get a message saying "can´t play disc" "did you put in a disc"

Does anyone have any clue to this problem?

DVD playback works just fine in all other programs.

I got DVD playing problems also. Or rather, DVD navigation problems. I can't see the "cursor" when navigating the DVD menu. I've tried with & without the DXVA setting.

For everyone that's having trouble playing dvd:
-If you have anydvd, make sure it's fully working. Lot's of trouble can come from anydvd ( especially cracked versions) I'm using version 6.1.3.6 and can say that works well with Vista Ultimate.

-Disable dxva everywhere, so not just where it say's disable dxva but also in directshow filter settings etc.

-Don't use EVR, it breaks at least dvd navigation and in combination with some codecs even breaks playback completely.

Same problem here......And also DVD content from the HDD.

@Activ: what is EVR? ...how do I turn in off and what should I use instead?

Just wanted to say I"m having the same problem with any codec I've tried, the DVD will start to play, then go black and I have to kill MP.
