Default How to choose subtitles via OSD

Hi!
I want to be able to choose if I want to enable subtitles, and if which subtitles to use by using the OSD in MediaPortal.
As of today I have enabled the Subtitles filter in ffdshow. This makes the subtitles show, but this is not ideal, as I can't choose which subtitles to use, and I can't disable them either.

Almost all of my subtitles are located in a dedicated folder ( \\server\videos\subtitles\ ) while the movies are located in ( \\server\videos\movies\ ). How can I make this work? I get the OSD if I play an .mkv file or any other container that has subtitles embedded.

The subtitles are a mix of both .srt and .idx/.sub files. Mostly .srt.

Thanks a lot for all help!

Not sure this answers your question, but the way I did this was to have all subtitles in the same directory as the movie file, with the exact same filename.

On the quest to discover how to display them, I found UserGuides/codecs and containers - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation and downloaded vobsub (now apparently renamed to vsfilter, will need to check it ou).

Then either use the appropriate keyboard shortcut 'L' ( see KeyboardShortcuts My Videos - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation ) or a button on your remote to cycle through subtitles.

Yeah, I know it works if i have all subtitles in the same folder, but I don't want this as my movies are sorted in folders (a-z) and if each movie has its own file there, it soon gets messy in Windows Explorer with 400+ movies.
