I'm experiencing incorrect aspect ratio when watching videos.

Both divx avi's and anamorphic x264 mkv's shows incorrect aspect ratio when using the built-in player. Zoomplayer shows correct AR.

I'm using ffdshow to decode the videos. No resizing.

LCD TV Monitor resolution 1360x768

I tried every zoom mode.

The calibration screen shows a perfect square. Strange is that if I make the square looks less like a square I get the correct aspect ratio.

I'm confused.

Have you checked "use overlay mixer" in ffdshow settings? Did you try playing in Windows Media Player outside of MP?

"use overlay mixer" is checked. Should it be checked or unchecked??

Zoomplayer plays it correctly. Windows media player does not.

"use overlay mixer" should be checked. So that's not it.

Thank you all for trying to help.

It appears that everything is fine with Media Portal.

I was setting up zoomplayer the wrong way.
Sometimes is hard to tell which aspect ratio is the correct one.
