Country: | Hi, two days ago I discovered Mediaportal and I'm really impressed. Congratulations to the developers about this fine piece of software. May I ask a question? All my videos and DVDs have a pink background when played from within MP. If I close MP and use Videolan (just to name one) the colors are correct. I played around with the video codecs in the settings ... without success. What do I need to do? Many thanks in advance. Greetings Harald |

Country: | Welcome Harald For us to help you, we need to know lots. Your system for one, outputting to what display and using what to connect it with is another, codecs you have installed, and your version of Mediaportal. If you fill in your usercp, all that information is automatically added. Thanks

Country: | Hi, is the complete background pink or is it a sort of false color? Like pink instead of blue? A screenshot would be nice. Sounds like a codec problem. Do you have an ATI card? Could be a bug they have with the colorspace. You have to set it to RGB instead of YUV. This can be set depending on your used codecs. Eg. for ffdshow (AVIs) in Start->Programs->ffdshow->Settings->Output (uncheck everything besides RGB). Or for MPV (DVD / MPEG). Configuration(MP)->Filters->MPV (uncheck YUV). Flip. |

Country: | Hi, thanks for all these useful tips. The following hint did it. The whole picture was sort of "pink-ish". I was using MPV and had to uncheck the YUV filters. Quote:
Thanks a lot. Regards Harald | |
