| MP Donator ![]() | Hi all. What is the real ituation for a refresh rate monitor control based on media? There is a refresh rate control plug in but do not work with new SVN and it depends on power strip. imho is too restrictive. new Catalyst control center from ATI support refresh rate can be change by a simple command line like this: "C:\Programmi\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\CLI.exe" Start Load profilename="default" and it work very well because if refresh rate is already correct no change is made. Could be usefull a simple mapping (in my movies) for media fps to this kind of command line. 23,986->"C:\Programmi\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\CLI.exe" Start Load profilename="1280x720@60HZ" 24->"C:\Programmi\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\CLI.exe" Start Load profilename="1280x720@60HZ" 25->"C:\Programmi\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\CLI.exe" Start Load profilename="1280x720@50HZ" and so on... imho this is a very important issue. MP is almost perfect for me but now I must control with a manual plugin and I must exit after modify because if I enter with 50 HZ profile . changhe to 60 when play a media MP return to 50HZ this initial one. very annoying and weird. thanks a lot. | MediaPortal's GUI engine is not handling the refresh rate changes on the fly. i.e. it resets completely and is not able to restore it's state after the refresh rate or display mode change. No official support is planned in MP1, but MP II will handle the issue much better.

| MP Donator ![]() | good! thanks a lot. Anyway if I use the Ati Catalyst control center and its profiles it work. After change efresh rate when a media is playing MP change the refresh rate to the initial one. so seem MP is able to change refresh rate. It's weird. Maybe an automatic features is missing only. |
