Hello,

I´ve a Silverstone LC20M Case with an integrated VFD an a Pad.

I´m not able to get bith, the Pad AND the Display to work. If the Display works the Pad says nothing and if the pad works,, the VFD shows nothing.

Do I use a wrong setting or is there another problem?

The Firmware of the display is 0x360101 and i dont have the option "plugin-mode" in the iMon-Software.

Can anybody give me an hint or is anybody able to downgrade the firmware of the VFD? I thing the reason of the missing "plugin-mode" is the firmware...

I've a (s*itty) Imon VFD display with the "Ver.7.01.0204 2nd BETA" driver downloaded from the imon site.

I'm trying your new plugin and I've only an issue I can't activate the ProgressBar funcionatily if I activate it in the
Advanced Section and change the configuration to show it when I play a file to show a * character in the bottom
line.
But when I play a video file I have an empty line and more strange the top line show: FullScreen Video and not the video name and I haven't changed the top line configuration!

In reality this thing stopped to work suddenly with the old display plugin... I hoped the new plugin solved my problem but I'm unlucky

The progressBar functionality is very important to me... for my viewing distance I don't see nothing on the display but with the progress bar I can know easily the elapsed time without pressing guide on my remote all the time.

Attached you can see Mediaportal Log and the display configuration files...

Thanks for you help... If I can't enable progress bar anymore I disable the display is unuseful for me

It stopped working with the old driver because JoeDalton changed the way the tags were processed... It was changed so that, Instead of using hard coded properties to construct the progress bar, it uses seperate tags to specify the values for contructing the bar.

The attached configuration file will fix the problem for you.

I've tried your xml file... without success

The first strange thing is that after I have substituted the xml file in the MP folder the configure xml window
in the plugin's configuration section is empty but the file is here!

If I start MP and play a video file... the same thing happens:

FULLSCREEN VIDEO
NOTHING!!!

I've attached the log file... You can see that while the file is playing in line 0 it writes Full Screen Video and
nothing on line 1... I don't understand

If I wanted to add TextProgress Bar using the gui is this possible?
I can choose TexProgressBar in the xml configuration but... I don't know what I must write in the Value field...

The checkbox "Use bottom line as TextProgressBar" must be checked or not?

Thanks for your support,
fanoI

I tested the xml on my system... it works... please post configuration and mediaportal logs from the latest driver... and the cybrdisplay.xml (to make sure it didn't get corrupted somehow...)

In the meantime... delete the cybrdisplay.xml and run configuration.exe and configure the driver... (The options for "use Progress bar" as for LCD displays only... they do not need to be set.) then save the configuration and run mediaportal... verify that the driver works and displays information when you play a video (it should display "Fullscreen video" for a few seconds then display the name of the video and the current position...)

then report on what happens (including logs if it doesn't work)

You can't currently add a TextProgressBar in the editor... I'm working on that...

EDIT: You can now add a TextProgressBar...

Hi Cybrmage.
Didn't see a response to my attached log a few posts up(make that 15), have you had time to look at it because it still won't work, the display never shows anything, tried all settings available it seems, but no dice.

Regards
Patrik

I didn't see the logs attached to the post... there weren't any when I read it...

It seems the display, or the DLL, doen't like the data being sent to it...

I'll try to get some time to do some more research into it... but the 3Rsystems display is a rather rare and very different from the other iMON devices...

For the moment... so that you can get SOME use out of your display.... Go into the iMON manager and set frontview to "Always"... Then Select the MCEDisplay driver... It should give you some basic data on the display... (the iMon Manager provides a basic iMediaStatusSink interface, and is Media Center compatible)
