This button is disabled until you configure the plugin at least once... Until it is configured, there is no configuration file to edit.

Question

Hello Cybrmage,

Do you already have had the time to have a look on my "frontview switch to "always" and then back to "never"-Problem? Please let me know if the logfiles I've posted are sufficient or not.

Thanks in advance

So how do you configure it? I thought that was done by clicking on "Advanced" and selecting the LCD2 type for example... Which is what I did in order to make the "Test display" work. Sounds like there's some other way of configuring the plugin "at least once" that I have missed.

Anyway, I will also update with logs later this afternoon as soon as I get home from work.

But you have selected the Soundgraph Imon display in the combobox in the first page?

After you press close to exit from the plugin's configurator haven't you 2 cyberdisplay xml files?

@ cybrmage I've tried your last version and I confirm that now the TextProgressBar configuration is editable
Now I'm very happy with my Imon display!

Yes, I have selected the Soundgraph iMon display in the combobox on the first page of the plugin configurator, and also selected USB as the port (as well as LCD2 under "Advanced"), but when I then press OK on that first window there are no new xml files, at least not in the same directory as the DLL, or should they be somewhere else? I have to admit I did not check other directories for new xml files...

Edit: Yes, there are two xml files created under C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal
One "CybrDisplay.xml" and one "CybrDisplay_imonlcdg.xml", but the "Configuration Editor" button is still greyed out. I'll try to collect logs and attach them here.

Edit2: And this is what the log has to say:
2008-03-19 14:10:19.040060 [Info.][MPMain]: CybrDisplay.Start(): called
2008-03-19 14:10:19.040060 [Info.][MPMain]: CybrDisplay.Start(): CybrDisplay Plugin v03_17_2008
2008-03-19 14:10:19.041060 [Info.][MPMain]: CybrDisplay.Start(): plugin starting...
2008-03-19 14:10:19.041060 [Info.][MPMain]: CybrDisplay.Start(): plugin not configured... Unable to start

I also deleted those two xml files and started the plugin config again in order recreate the xml files, which worked fine. The plugin config also autodetected my display with the test and briefly put the test-text on it.
This is all done while logged on as Administrator (the real one, not just a user in that group).

Hi cybrmage

if the xml-configuration files are not saved in the default directory, but in a user specific one defined in MediaPortalDirs.xml, the imon lcd display is not working.

Yes... BUT, only when running Vista... And nobody seems to want to a) tell me what there system is running or b) post full logs....

Fortunately, some people do read... and someone in the iMON thread actually posted a full log... so the problem has been resolved.

I do believe in my case, and yes I am running Vista 32-bit (posted that in an earlier message), the xml config files are in the default location. In my MediaportalDirs.xml I only changed the location of the databases and the thumbs.

For completeness sake I attached full logs as well as my MediaPortalDirs.xml and the two xml files in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal
All are in the one .zip file

If I have now forgotten anything important, or made any beginners mistakes, I apologize beforehand.
Thanks in any case for any help!
