Ok I have tested the plugin for two days or so now. I have a little wishlist if one may call it, in mediaportal the plugin works like a charm! But, when one exits MP you get the "Mediaportal not active" message on the display. So is there any chance to get back to the Imon software, showing the date and time for example? I turn off the computer by remote, so if I turn it off when I play a mp3 and the EQ is on it freezes and stays like that when the computer is turned off. A black screen when computer is turned off would be nice, but I've read many who have problems with this issue.

Hi Cybermage
I already had sometime to test today b version of the today's plugin
I have an "mplay blast"
- EQ with "normal" behaves like yesterday. BUT seems more like upper and lower lines are left and right channels.
- EQ with "stero" produces random chars on the display
- EQ with "VU meter" crashes
Ready for a newer version to test!
(Do you want me to post some log?)
Thanks in advance
Pcwizzul

Real time testing!
This is about C version
Normal EQ behaves as before. upper and lower row are almost the same.
Stere EQ only displays firs two columns moving
VU meter works great!!!!!!!! And seems to move faster too than the EQ, seems more "reactive"
Ready for D version!!!!

Version D behaves exactly like C
on Mplay blast
Sorry

First: Great work on the plugin works fine

second: this might be offtopic but does anyone have the antec vfd and a Microsoft MCE Remote and got it to work with the IR located in the vfd ?

Hey, thanks for your great work, but would it be possible to post your source code too?
I'm still having problems getting the plugin to work.
As you will see in the log file i do have a problem while trying to open the display. I don't know but this might be the reason my Imon display doesn't say anything when running MP.

you have the CybrDisplay plugin configure to use the MatrixMX driver...

Configure the CybrDisplay plugin. (The two plugins use DIFFERENT configuration files)

Oh, my fault!
I hope I got the right settings now. But it's still not working right. When i have got the IMON Utility in Automatic Mode the display crashes when starting MP with the plugin enabled. When the plugin is disabled everything works just fine.
Mfg Andy

It's possible to use this plugin with touchLCD display to show info? (only media info, graphic equalizer... I don't want to use touch functions in MediaPortal)

I have a Zalman HD160XT plus with Imon touchLCD.

Thanks.

Hi CybrMage,

I have just found and downloaded CybrDisplayPlugin_02_04_2008b.zip from the first thread.
Hard to understand why it has not been included in SVN but that is a different issue. Thanks for the work.

A couple of question I hope you can answer easily.

1). Under CybrDisply -> configuration -> advanced, the Equalizer Options are all disable?
Might you be able to suggest why this is the case.
I have an Antec Fusion Black. I have tried both the Antec driver that came with the case and the iMon beta version downloaded from SoundGraph. Logs are attached while configuring and using both versions.

2). When I use the "Channel" list to select a channel, I correctly get shown the program that is being displayed.
If I use the TV Guide to select the channel, the display indicates TV/Fullscreen X_Program_X correctly but then it appears that it displays the last channel that previous selected (Not sure how better to explain).

Example of this issue is in mediaportal.log within CybrDisplay.Matty.Antec.zip
The last program selected was "Burn Notice" this was displayed initially to indicate "TV/Fullscreen 'Burn Notice'". The display then shows "Seven 'Raising Helen'" which was the previous channel viewed.

BTW: This my remote client machine.

Thanks

Matt

You have a "UNSUPPORTED" display... so the driver disables itself...

The driver reconfigures the iMON Manager (sets the "Use Frontview" option to "Never"), and restarts it... that is why the display stops working... the driver can't control the display while the iMON Manager is controlling the display.

No.. By "UNSUPPORTED" display, I mean that I have no information on the display... so I don't know if it uses the same command set that the other displays use... You will need to provide more information about the display... Who Is the distributor?... was it included with a case? (if yes, which model)... In iMON Manager, what is the firmware version that appears on the "version/About" page?

Hmmm... After the comments you made about my TouchScreen plugin.... (In a new thread, where I didn't see it for almost a week... without any comments or suggestions in the support thread)... I'm surprised that you are asking me about TouchScreen support in this plugin...

that has been fixed.

I don't know what would cause this... I don't have a tuner configure in my system, so I can't do any testing... I'll keep it in mind while I'm working on the code and see if anything that could cause it makes itself evident.

TO ALL: If you have an Soundgraph iMON based display PLEASE post your support questions in the SoundGraph thread. If you have a VL Systems Mplay display, PLEASE post your support questions in the VLSYS_Mplay thread. (I seem to be the only person with a Matrix Orbital Mx or GX display, so these displays don't have their own thread)
This will allow me to better track the issues of each of the individual drivers, and removes the possibility of my mis-remembering which display you are posting about. The URL for each of the threads is listed in the first post and the README file included with the plugin (You DID read it didn't you?!?!).
