I'll take a look at it when I get time.... other drivers have higher priority than your request... (IE: iMONLCDG driver with approx. 30 known users vs LCDHype driver with 2 known users)... add the fact that you are using an LCDHype driver that is not in the MediaPortal distribution and the fact that I can't find any decent information on the device... It will probably be a while before I get to it....

Default Test 6 Results

I just did the "switchwithbutton" setting test this time. Let me know if you want the keyboard test.

In this test, I cycled through all the buttons, then pressed the mousestick toggle and cycled through them all again. At the end, I did the toggle a few times, followed by pad presses. It definitely looks like the mousestick toggle doesn't actually change the output from the remote, which is what I thought it would do, and it's something the application has to use to maintain "state" of the pad and map the input of the pad to different actions.

Done. Bit more information - this time when playing the DVD the plugin did manage to get something to the VFD - 1st line DVD, second line 0:00/, consistent with what you would normally see at the start of a DVD as it goes through the legal warning stuff. The display didn't change, however, when playing one of the episodes on the disk. Presumably there's a split second at the start of DVD playback where the plugin is working, it just manages to get something on the VFD, then it locks up. It doesn't affect playback at all - video and audio work fine, and it's not until stopping and going back to the My Videos menu that it actually crashes MP.

Cheers,

Rob.

It's detecting the mouse/keyboard button still not processing it....

Hopefully, this version will fix it....

Please run the "SwitchWithButton" test again.

Thanks

Well.... not really.....

The logs show what the video section is doing.... but not what the plugin is doing....

I need logs that have Mediaportal Logging set to "Debug" AND the plugin configured for "Extensive Logging".

Thanks

....here's the log again.... switchwithbutton mode, all keys pressed, followed by a series of mousestick toggles and pad presses. Changed behaviour, but still not processing the mousestick toggle.

This is an amazing global development process! I couldn't imagine it would be possible to develop a driver without having the hardware with you, let alone in another country. Thanks for sticking with this cybrmage.

I have a IMon HID device, a IMon remote and also a MCE remote. If it would help, i could do some tests with that combination.
