The new driver works as well with the display, but when the display works my Remote is not useable anymore.
I think there schould be an option not to list it in My Plugins.
It is a great work, do you think it might be possible to post the source code?

I'm also having problems getting the remote to work inside MP. I've never used this plugin before, installed the 15th of February build of the plugin. The display worked out of the box, cool! However, no remote signals are detected. I'm using a Harmony 525 configured for Windows MCE. As pointed out earlier in the thread, no checkbox to disable/enable the remote control is visible in the plugin configuration.

I have an Antec Fusion case with iMon VFD.

Hi Cybermage,

I have been out for a while, now that I am back I see that your plugin has gained a lot of improvements! I installed the latest version 02_15_2008 and it works very well (I installed it yesterday night so I am going to test it more in the forthcoming days).
I have a question: I am using a singlesit TVserver setup and some icons are not functioning (e.g. the record one) I remember that you told me that it is due to the fact that some states are managed from TVserver and not from Mediaportal. Do you think that it would be possible to get the plugin manage this icons even with TVserver?

Regards and thank you for your work!

Hi Cybrmage,

thx a lot for your fantastic work.
I have just upgraded to the latest SVN and so I installed also your 15-02 build from first post.
Everything works fine here but a cosmetic error: when I select "Use V3 SG_VFD.dll" the display type is LCD2 and grayed out. This also enable a lot of LCD features not available for a VFD.

I think that this option is there only for old/problematic VFD like mine and not for LCD so once selected you can force the VFD selection living display type grayed out and all LCD function.

This will be perfect for me and rock your driver even more.

Thanks again for your hard work supporting MP displays...

Simone

hi guys,

I have a silverstone GD01B-MXR Case and i dont get the current version to work. when i run MP the lcd screen freezes and my remote is not working properly anymore (scenario 1 with imon frontview set to automatic).

(scenario 2) When i set NEVER for FrontView in Imon Manager, i only see the time on the lcd display although mediaportal is running.

in both scenarios imon managers runs in the background.

any ideas?

EDIT: I just ticked on the option for delay and it works perfect now. seems that 10 seconds were sufficient to get everything to work . however, there is one important issue worth mentioning. when going into standby while mediaportal is running and coming back from standby into mediaportal, the display continues showing me the time so the lcd does not work after standby. it only works if i restart media portal... any solution to this?

Hey,
When I activate the future to turn the Display off during Video Playback, the display stays blank after the Movie is finished.

Hi Cybrmage,

I noticed three minor issues I have with CybrMagePlugin and not with your ProcessPlugin.dll in the other thread:

1) When I stop music, Graphic EQ remain painted in the VFD.
2) When I play a video and hit "play" info of the file are no more displayed.
3) If I leave MP in the main window for a while clock is no more updated.

and as reported earlier if I untick and tick Use V3 DLL the display type is LCD2 instead of VFD. Is this option usefull also for LCD2 users or is in use only by some unlucky VFD owners like me ?

Logs for all those situations will follow in a couple of hours...

Simone

Default Problem with IMON VFD

I'm having a strange problem with my IMON VFD in a Silverstone LC16 case, using this plugin.

From MP Configuration I can successfully test the display, however it does not work from within MediaPortal itself.

Attched logs show the successful test in MP Config, but failure to open the device in MediaPortal.

I've now tried updating to the 18/2/08 expiremental version - no change.

I then tried ticking the box about delaying the driver load for troublesome USB ports.

Success! The display now works!

Almost Now when the driver does successfully load, it breaks the remote and it no longer works.

What triggered me to think of changing this setting was the fact that every time I start MP or Config, I hear (and see through the IMON tray icon) the USB device disconnecting and re-connecting. Is this normal?
