MediaPortal Version: V1.0.0.0 RC1 and the included TV server
Windows Version: Vista Business
HTPC Case: Zalmann HD 160 plus with preinstalled imon LCD
Remote: imon Pad

Installing and configuring of the plugin worked fine (following the general instructions and the special instructions for imon on the 1st page), also testing: The test message is shown on the display! But when I start up mediaportal, there is nothing shown on the lcd (I also tried the option to elay the driver initialization) . Although the background light is switched on, the display stays totally blank. The only thing that works is the EQ when playing mp3 (also in the upper line "music" is highlighted and in the lower line "mp3"). When I switch on "Show Track info for 2 seconds every 10 seconds" the EQ freezes for 2 seconds without showing any track information and then starts working again. In all other sections the display just stays blank. What can I do?

I wanted to add log files (extensive logging) but I don`t know where to find them as I`m pretty new at mediaportal. Additionally I don't know where to get the firmware version of my LCD from... (the manual says Ver 1.0)

For infos about my system, see last post.

I solved my problem by forcing the graphic mode (don't know the exact words right now as I'm not at home). Mp3and video information etc. are now shown.

But I have another question: Is it possible to show the menu entries like my tv, my pictures etc. and the highlighted mp3 file or playlist etc. so that e.g. listening to music without turning the tv / monitor on would be possible?

great working system. (Imon Pad works in keyboard mode! toggle between keyboard and mouse too, quick display changes, special keys (my tv...) functionaltiy, .... )

Hello. First of all, congratulations for this work.
I would like to say that it worked for, but it didnt. I use the imon ldc that comes integrated to my case. When i install this plugin (as it says in the first page) and i test the display, it freezes (doesnt show anything new) and only come back to work when i re-install the imon driver. I was using the most recent driver (ver 7.20.0502), and i saw most people using an older one (6.01...) and i tryed that but i had the same results.

Please let me know what im doing wrong. Here's y log...

ezragel, try imon ver.6.20.0830!
with 6.01..x, 7...x I had no sucess too..
ver. 6.20.0830 was bundled with my thermaltake case and isn´t available at soundgraph, maybe you will find this version in the net. look at my config above.

Its marked as being a BETA release, so that maybe why some people do not find it.
Will give this a try too as I miss the keyboard movement also.
Downloaded it already, but need to install it and test it.

First of all to Cybermage for this plugin!

I am using the Soundgraph iMON VFD with...

iMon Firmware version 0x3601 (VFD OEM HID)
iMon Manager version 6.20.0820
CybrDisplayPlugin version 05_08_2008

...and the display is working fine,
all other display plugins were not able control this VFD version!

Now the problem is, as soon as the plugin is running, the iMON remote control is not working and if
the plugin is disabled the IR is working. This was also described by some other users.

As far as I know the iMON IR is able to receive commands from MCE Remote...
...so I tried to use my Logitech Harmony universal remote to act like a M$ MCE Remote Controller
and now i was able to navigate and control MediaPortal
For this behavior i did not change any settings in iMON Manger.
At the moment, some key's are not working but i hope i will find a solution for this,
maybe some key mappings are wrong.

So it looks like that only iMON IR commands are blocked with the CybrDisplay plugin.

I hope this information will help to fix the iMON remote problem...
