Country: | Hi vinnythetrue, welcome in the club ;-) Unfortunately I'm having the same problem. If you check mails you will see what ever I did no success. I believe that we both are having a new version of LCD touch screen displays which are not compatible with this plug-in. I would be happy if there is a solution for our problems. Br, ojessie |

Country: | Glad to know I'm not alone (but sorry for you mate...) ! At least we have hope to help each other if we can, maybe twice more chances to get the thing working ![]() Beside that issue, some other stuffs in MediaPortal, more specifically in some plugins actually, bother me as well as that lcd problem. As a matter of fact I'm a programmer too. I already made a checkout of the mediaportal svn. I sure still have to find probably a lot of time to get through and find what the problem could be to eventually going to fix it, but hell, if the time shows up, I'll give it a try. You can be sure you'll here about it if I make it (if I find a less time-consuming way too obviously ).But, let me know, why are you talking about mails in your post ? I guess I missed something there... |

| Hi eveyone, Before I start i'd just like to say great work one the CybrDisplay plugin Cybrmage. ![]() However I'm afraid I've found a bug. The problem I'm having was that the LCD took ages to update its self after I sent a command to it from MediaPortal. After spending a day or so changing DLL's and searching through the forums I finally figured out it was because I'm using the TV Client plugin, but my TV server wasn't turned on. As soon as I turned it on it worked fine. Ive looked at the log files and it seems to be happening when the plugin checks to if the tv card if being used. But its obviously hanging because it can't connect to the server. Because I dont use the client PC a lot for tv its a bit of a pain having to power up the server just to make sure the LCD works. Can anyone figure out a way around this? If not can someone tell me where the source code is so I can have a look at modifying it, I couldn't seem to find it on Sourceforge. I've attached a good log file (with the server on) and a bad one (with it off), look at the bit where the text 'music/shares' was sent to the LCD. I'm using the plugin with my Artec Fusion Black case (iMon LCD display), MP1 RC2, and Vista home premium. Thanks |

Country: | Hi boys I also got the very same problem* when I click at Plugin in Mediaportal configuration. Uninstalled the plugin and now the "send error information to MS" dialog show up when i start Mediaportal Configuration (wait a moment and the configuration program starts behind the MS dialog). Mediaportal could not be started at all, the same "send error information to MS" dialog show up and nothing happened. Have to reinstall Cybrdisplay to be able to start MediaPortal..... * Failed to locate assembly MSASSTATE, Version 6.0.6000.0, Culture=Neutral, PublicKeyToken=XXXXXXX, Note that the configuration program must be executed from/reside in the MediaPortal folder, the execution will now end. Country: | Feature Request If when entering standby the external display could be triggered to output [ MediaPortal ] [ Stand By Mode ] Currently, when the computer enters stand by mode, triggered by the powerscheduler plugin this display on the VFD is frozen with the last display text, which is usually Mediaportal followed by the time at which the standby occurred. My computer is so quiet that sometimes im not sure if it is in standby mode or not. With this feature i could immediately tell. Would it be possible to implement this? |

| Portal Member | Hi all, First post in this thread, I've been using this plugin for some time now with my G15 keyboard since the external display plugin integrated with MP install don't seem to work for me. I just upgraded to the latest version I found in the opening post cause I've some problems that still persist. I use MP on my desktop PC (poor student ) and open/close it often. I noticed that when I'm running this plugin and close MP it stays in memory. When I disable the plugin everything's fine and MP process quits (not visible in taskmanager anymore) normally.Besides this I find it kinda annoying how much junk this plugin's generating in the Mediaportal.log file. Maybe an option within the config to turn logging off for this particular plugin? Last edited by joz; 2008-09-21 at 16:53. |

| Portal Member | I recently noticed that the version nr. on the opening screen of MP (and its config editor) changes after CybrDisplay plugin is installed. Why is that? Does CybrDisplay revert some features of MP RC2 to 0.2.3.0? I cannot tell you guys how much relieved I am that the CybrDisplay.dll from May 5th, 2008 finally works with !!!BOTH!!! my iMON PAD and OEM VFD of Chieftec HT-01 casing ![]() for all the efforts to make it work!!! |
