I read on this website that the vfd is a ORIGEN VFD Module powered by IR Trans Software. I think you need my other plugin: the ExternalDisplay plugin that is already in MediaPortal for that. Grab a recent CVS build: that has IRTrans support included.

Configure the plugin to use port localhost, and be sure you have the IRTrans server running...

I have not (yet) received any confirmation that it really works, though...

Default MSI MEGA 865 Pc

Hello,
I'm here to confirm that the plugin works well on my MSI MEGA 865 Pro from MSI http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produc...il.php?UID=602

The plugin works fine on Mediaportal RC2 and failed on RC3 though.

I'm creating my own video player application using Visual Foxpro 9 and would like to use the dll files on my VisualFoxpro program instead of using it as a plugin for MediaPortal. (due to Thai language support and other minor issues)

I'm not sure if it is possible to obtain more information about the dlls or not.

It will not be possible to use my plugin for your own application, as it constantly queries MediaPortal for information about what it is doing.

You can however use the same mechanism in your software to drive the display. Have a look in my sources here to see how it works...

Default MSI MEGA 865 Pc

Thanks Joe,

I have MS VisualStudio 2003 Installed and when I try to open MCEDisplay.Interop.csproj there's an error message "The project file is missing the 'VisualStudioProject' section.". (Also the same error when openning MCEDisplay.csproj)

Sorry if this is someting I should already know if I wanted to study the code, but I've never write any program under .NET environment before.

Would you be kind enough to point me to the next thing to do to open up the project? Or a good book for me to read and get started?

Thank you.

MediaPortal has switched to Visual Studio.NET 2005 for some time now. The project files are not compatible with earlier versions.

You can create 2 new projects and add the existing .cs files to them. I don't think there is any C# 2.0 specific code in those projects...

I also own a MSI MEGA 865 Pro. I am running RC3 and the plugin works more or less OK.
When watching TV it doesn't show the correct channel number, but otherwise it seems to work.

Why is this plugin not available from the Download page on team-mediaportal.com? It's too great to miss out on
