Country: | OK, now it loads but then we got problems with new features but this is busines as usual during r&d phase ![]() It seems that configuration is saved correctly to ExternalDisplay_vlsys_mplay.xml but is not read or distributed to driver. I have equalizer and dim display during video enabled. /m Last edited by -Manfred-; 2008-01-31 at 19:21. |

Country: | The logs look ok... Remember, I do not have one of these displays... so you will need to be a little more descriptive of what the display is doing... (IE: does the display actually display anything??? You play a video and the title and play time is displayed... but the display does not dim after 30 seconds... etc) You don't get the equalizer display because the equalizer data is only provided by the Bass Audio system... and the Bass audio system is only active when playing music files, not when playing video... As for dimming the display... Please enable "extensive logging", then play a video... then post the mediaportal.log... Thanks! Regards, CybrMage |

In which case, you were right... It is ignoring the equalizer and advanced display control options... A new version is now available... Regards, CybrMage

Country: | Yo! I did some testing - here are the results:
I didn't do any explicit testing of fan control - if that's needed, let me know and just as you started this neat EQ display stuff - what about a horizontal stereo amplitude peak meter? ![]() Regards Axel PS: If you keep going on with that kewl coding stuff, you'll sooner or later need your own web page and user forum and even more, the CybrDisplay will beat MediaPortal's popularity ![]()

(speaking about display blanking... does it work??) Quote:
The code behaves exactly as intended... The display doesn't behave as expected though... minor problem... the new version should fix it. He who is without typing errors should cast the first spelling corrections.... MR300... MZ4... Do you know why it's called the MP300??? Testing the fan control would be good... but I still think Probably not going to happen... the Bass audio engine does not reliably provide FFT data for individual channels... Regards, CybrMage

Country: | Good... That is the intended behaviour (if you have selected the "blank display" option...) Thanks. I'll look at the logs and see what I can find. Quote:

The VU Meter requires the FFT data of each individual channel... The Bass audio engine will provide the FFT data for individual channels but, from what I've been able to determine, the data returned doesn't seem to correspond to the audio heard. To display the VU Meter, we take the maximum value of all ranges for each channel. I suppose that the VU Meter display could also be derived from the raw sample data for each channel, but that would make the processing more involved. (The Bass documentation indicates that the sample data reflects the state of the audio playback buffer at the time of the call to the Bass library (and returns a variable sized data array), whereas the FFT data is windowed (and will always return a fixed size data array)... Check out todays version of the driver... Regards, CybrMage

Country: | Features just keeps coming ![]() Vu meter crashes MP. It seems that I'm the first testing level to get this running and Herr R&B finalizes it - hehee! Last edited by -Manfred-; 2008-01-31 at 19:21. |
