I did what you said Sogge, and this comes up after typing: C:\Users\Viktor>C:\Users\Viktor\Desktop\iMONpatch

Exception: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to searchpath c:

And it shuts down. So It won't patch it for me!!! Is it supposed to work for Vista 64-bits?
Please make it work

Also wondering, when iMon started up, it asked if I wanted to upgrade to newer version. Do I?

i started the patch from the directory where it is in but I don't think it should be the problem. If it works with vista 64 bits we should ask the developer of the patch. following the install instructions you should update first and then apply the patch.

still it won't work after updating, and now I can't even start the iMon programme. The patch will not work properly!

So who is the developer of the patch?

Worked really good for me! Except for five buttons that I can't seem to map or find, the media button and the red, green, yellow and blue button. Has anyone managed to fix thoose buttons? But everything else works really great.

I think this solution only works for the VFD-type. Since I have the Antec Fusion V2 (silver/black) I can't test the other displays.

lr10: To map the mediabutton, you'll have to go into the Windows part of the iMON software and remove the "launch quickaccess..." shortcuts and add it on the MediaPortal settings. Make it enter the letter "H".
Then you'll have to add a custom shortcut in MediaPortal settings under keys or something like that that associates the letter "H" with the home function. Since I'm not at the HTPC I can't check all the settings but you know a little more where to look.

Me!

To all:
If you actually took the time to read the posts/threads that were linked to from this thread, you would have discovered several things...

1) The iMON (Soundgraph) software will drive the Antec VFD, but will NOT drive the LCD.
2) With Mediaportal, you do not need the iMON software to drive the display... The External Display plugin has drivers for both.
3) The instructions for manualy patching the iMON.exe and VFD.exe are posted...
4) The patch allows you to use the iMON software to control the IR receiver on the VFD or LCD...
5) The instructions for using the IR files that you edit with the iMON software with the Antec software are posted.. (so that people with the LCD that want to use the Antec software to run the display can still customize the IR function)
6) The patch program is a quick and dirty "proof of concept" to prove that the iMON and VFD programs could be patched.

If you use Vista, you will probably have to set the properties for iMONPatch.exe to allow it to "Run as Administrator"... and/or turn off UAC (User Access Control)...

If you are using a version of XP other than US English, or Vista, you will probably need to take a few additional steps...
1) Create a directory named c:\Program Files\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON.
2) copy iMON.exe from wherever the Soundgraph is software installed to the c:\Program Files\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON
3) Create a directory named c:\Program Files\ANTEC\VFD.
4) copy VFD.exe from wherever the Antec software is installed to the c:\Program Files\ANTEC\VFD
5) run the iMONPatch program
6) copy the patched iMON.exe from c:\Program Files\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON to wherever your SoundGraph Software is installed.
7) copy the patched VFD.exe from c:\Program Files\ANTEC\VFD to wherever your Antec Software is installed.
8) Delete the directories created in steps 1 and 3.

I am confused though. In the instructions it tells me to uninstall the VFD programme, but that is contradicting the fact that I will need to use the VFD.exe file later on?
What is the deal with that?

Every time I've tried the iMON patch, I just get error message, and the cmd shuts down.

Hi all
I have the Antec Fusion Black 430 with LCD display (VFD software on the Antec CD) working by following the instructions previously posted by CYBRMAGE.
MediaPortal 0.2.3 RC2 with SVN 2-10-2007, Windows XP Pro, Logitech Harmony 785 remote

The steps I followed were:
1. Install the Soundgraph iMon 6_01_0122 software, downloaded from the soundgraph site. I did NOT install the software on the CD that came with the Antec case. Reboot. Allow the automatic iMon update to run.

2. Manually hex edit (I used Cygnus Hex Editor 2.50) the c:\Program Files\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON\iMon.exe file as descibed in this post:

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...ght=imon+patch

offset 2A625 change 0F 84 6C 0E 00 00 to 90 90 90 90 90 90
offset 2A631 change 0F 84 60 E0 00 00 to 90 90 90 90 90 90
offset 2A63D change 0F 84 54 E0 00 00 to 90 90 90 90 90 90
offset 43A8D change 0F 84 84 0C 00 00 to 90 90 90 90 90 90
offset 43A99 change 0F 84 78 0C 00 00 to 90 90 90 90 90 90
offset 43AA5 change 0F 84 6C 0C 00 00 to 90 90 90 90 90 90

The iMonpatch.exe did not work for me so I edited manually as above.

3. Install MediaPortal & SVN. Configure Mediaportal to use MCE Remote and External display plugin to: Soundgraph iMon Integrated USB VFD/LCD Driver

4. Setup Harmony 785 remote to emulate MCE 1039 remote.

5. In iMon Manager, Settings, Remote Controller set to MCE Remoe

6. In iMon Manager, Settings, Windows Command, Power Management Command set System Standby to [MCE remote] Power. This enables the LCD to completely black out on switch off.

Still playing - a work in progress.
Hope this helps someone.
