Question Antec v2 / imon / mce remote insanity

What I understand:

-the soundgraph imon driver turns remote commands into keyboard commands and sends them to Vista
-this circumvents the Media Portal remote mapping in configuration.exe

What's wrong:
-remote actions like up, down, left, right are "double tapping" in media portal. hell, the keyboard's doing the same thing. wtf?
-Thanks to imon driver media portal doesn't see a remote it sees a keyboard and thus the remote mappings i have (my mce remote doesn't have the color buttons so i map subtitle and audio stream control to guide/livetv) and those don't work
-cybrmage plugin crashes when i try to configure it (the hell?)

My system:
-Antec Fusion V2 silver
-Vista 32bit pre-SP1 but otherwise fully patched
-Microsoft MCE remote model 1039

Can anyone help?
