Well, I restarted after shutting down all of my spyware/antivirus protection and then ran the mediaportal settings. After a couple minutes it finally started up so, we'll see if that was the problem.

Even on my system, config usually loads in about 20-30 seconds.

Try and leave as many settings as default, just to dip your toes in, and give us a chance to know "there are not to many unknowns" if you do encounter a problem.

It's running but now cannot load channels. I have the pinnacle pctv hd pro stick (usb). I don't think it is supported, not on the list. Any hope it will be in the future?
