Default Turning off unwanted sections

In the online manual, it says:

"MediaPortal has eight different sections which can be turned on or off in the configuration program"

I just could not find anything in the configuration program to turn off sections that I don't want to be visible in MediaPortal.

Appreciate any help.

I see an item "Plugins" at the bottom of the the left pane. When clicked, it shows all the plugins on the right pane.

That's all. Nothing else.

Just "right-click" on each of the plugins you want to disable, and click on "Enable" to disable it ...

That works.

I used Meedio for quite a while It was the best at that time. Later moved to MediaCentre XP which was ok. But MediaCentre in Vista really put me off. Can't customise anything, cluttered screen, and to make it worst can't even play my IFO files which was ok in the XP version.

Now with MediaPortal, it's like working in Meedio again. Thanks to the developers for this wonderful software.

Thanks.
