I appreciate that MP only supports recording to DVR-MS even though my card supports DivX, but is there any way for me to control the recording quality on my ATI 9800 AIW, either within MP or outside?

I currently use MP for playback but I've been having a look at recording as well, but with it recording a more than 2Gb an hour I don't have the disk space to support the number of recordings I do.

Any help appreciated.

When setting advanced recording option there is a selection of quality. But indeed whatever quality I select, I get 2.4GB an hour.
