Hi im having trouble getting my tv to work.

I have made a clean install of mediaportal. (deleted old folders ect.)
in the setup it finds my card, when i start the auto tune it finds all my channels but i only get a black screen in the prewiev screen?

When entering MY TV in mp i still get a black screen and no sound?
I have tryed changing the different codecs but without any luck?

In Hauppage wintv 2000 it works fine.

I have also tryed with the latest svn builds.

Help me....

I am no expert, but I've reviewed your logs and you have a problem with the default DirectSound device. It's not working, so Media Portal cannot create the graph to play the TV stream.

You should try to manually select another sound device. To do so open the configuration, go to TV and in the same place where you can select the codecs, try to choose a diferent DirectSound device.

Hi, YoMaMmA (or should it be dad )
Try to change the codecs for television in MP Setup -> Television to MPV for video & MPA for audio, then test again & attach your log if it doesn't work.

Regards
Roy

Change the audio renderer (maybe the configuratin has a different name, but I can't open the configuration now because MediaPortal is recording.) There is a drop-down list to select between: Default DirectSound Device, WaveOut,...

Something was damaged in the DirectX subsystem. Anyway I'm glad it's working now . I keep an image of a clean install and one with Media Portal, just in case I need to start from scratch or go back to the last working image.
