I am using only my Hauppauge 150 MCE. (The ATI card does not work with MP)

I am using SVN from today. I tried this also on the latest release.

The recording quality is always about 700KBytes per second (about 2.5GB per hour). Whatever quality I select for the recording, the recording quality is the same.
I tried changing the settings in "Configuration->Television->Capture Cards->Edit->Quality Settings". But it does not seem to change anything.
When toggling on "Use quality control", then the quality is very low (about 100KBPS), regardless of the default quality or the quality I select for the recording.

The attached logs are when "use quality control" is off.
A recording was done with quality "low".
I noticed in the log there are problems with VideoCaptureDevice:setStreamConfigSetting(). Can it be it?

Hi Doron,

When the quality control is unchecked, the quality screen does nothing with the recording. Could you please check the quality control checkbox in the config, and start live tv, and then record a program, and then post the logs. Thanks.

Hi diehard2,
I will have to say both thanks and sorry.
I did try many things, but apparently I did not try enough with the latest SVN.
It does work when toggling the quality control on and setting some reasonable bit rate.
I still want to ask 2 things (but it is much less important now):
1. When choosing a recoding quality in MP main GUI, is that supposed to work also when quality control is off?
2. The settings in the configuration say "KBPS". I think it should be "KbPS" or even "KbitPS' to differ bytes from bits.

Thanks.
