Channels not descrambled.

Hi All,

This is my first time here so bare with me. I am trying to make a HTPC with MP and I use the following.

My pc: DELL with E6600 C2D ; 2GB RAM; 500GB Hdd and an X1300 Graphics card.

I bought a Twinhan AD-SP400 DVB-S2 CI PCI card and a Mediaguard CAM to go with it.
I installed the latest MP version 0.2.3.0 final release.

The satellite card is installed correctly and with AutoTune discovered over 400 channels. But when trying to view scrambled channels I get no image. Cam is set to default and I also tried Viaccess without success.

Can anybody help me

please make sure that your subscription card is correctly inserted in your cam
make sure the cam is correctly inserted in your TV-Card
start mediaportal with the "MediaPortal Debug" shortcut in your start menu
then tune one of the paytv-channels you have a valid subscription card for
after you tried to tune that channel (which "does not work") close mediaportal
the testtool will export all your logs into one zip file
reply to this thread with the "go advanced" button below the quick reply window and attach this zip file to your post

Hi Chris,

I did the Autotune again and guess what now it worked. The only thing I saw is that changing between scrambled channels takes too long (10 sec) but Iwill look into that later.

Thanks for your reply, now I know how to sent you guys a log when in real trouble.

most of the time this is the first tune of a scrambled channel which takes long because the card has to initialize the CI.
afaik this is known for Twinhan and Technotrend cards that this takes looooong.
nothing we can do about that since its caused by their hard-/ software (driver)
