Default compro videomate 750

I have tried and tried to get support for this card working but i just can't seen to get it.

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<capturecards>
<capturecard commercialname="VideoMate T750" capturename="VideoMate Dual A+DVB-T Digital Capture" devid="ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_c900185b&a mp;rev_d1">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="true" mpeg2="true" mce="true" sw="true" bda="true"/>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="2" audio="3" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="5"/>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"/>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="VideoMate Dual A+DVB-T DVBT Tuner" checkdevice="true"/>
<filter cat="capture" name="VideoMate Dual A+DVB-T Digital Capture" checkdevice="true"/>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"/>
<connection sourcefilter="VideoMate Dual A+DVB-T DVBT Tuner" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"/>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

That is the editing i ended up with for the capture cards config file.

I can get media portal to recognise the card, but when i select my digital tv region it then crashes media portal.

Can anyone offer any help please.

If you are feeling daring, I would recommend going with the TV engine v3.
It doesn't need the capturecard definitions file, it just detects the card via Windows.

For a single seat set up, you should find better results than the existing TV engine.

If you're not sure what I'm talking about, the links are towards the top of the home page.

devid="ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_c900185b&a mp;rev_d1

should be

devid="ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_c900185b&a mp;rev_d1#3

I just got my new compro 750 to work, and I will submit this to the developers for inclusion.

I install the card, start the machine, install drivers etc.
Scan for channels, sometimes it picks them up, sometimes it doesn't.
When i do manage to get all the channels i store them in a favourites menu, then when i turn on the machine the next time can't watch, its so damn choppy, or it can't even get a signal.
Im over it, compro give me piss weak excuses like your signal might be too strong shit like that, waste of time.

BTW i have a p4 2.4, 6600gt, 1 gig ram and a 200 gig sata.

Im over it and have since put the pc to use as a game server.

My comp
XP Pro SP2
P4-3.0
512 pc3200
160g sata
160g pata
had a SB Live! DE but the compro refuses to be in the same mobo as it.
My problems start with installing the card to start with, I have a nvidia 6200-256mb-AGPx8 card and if I install forceware above ~84.** the compro card will instantly hard reset the computer when you try to access it, using forceware 84.** I can atleast use the compro card.
I can use and tune most channels most of the time (usually can't tune the chans I want to record) independently of MP, records both DBTV and Analogue via s-vid.

With MP, I have tried without any success with both the tv engines on many ocasions, sometimes it would find the card sometimes not but at any rate it was always unusable.
The card is crap, I have no option for the time being to use it as I have it setup as it is, I would be tempted to pull the thing out of the machine in favour of my old Fly98 as I mainly record s-vid, but the only thing that keeps it in there is the remote-on function
I finaly gave up as my women folk where getting restless.
I have tried this card on 2 mobos, P43.0D, P43.0, two seperate 6200's all with the same results.
the bitch of it all is that I read a whole stack of reviews on the card, did my home work, but none of the reviews mentioned any of the faults and problems with the card that now riddle the net.
