In general I think CyberLink PowerDVD is a good choice, but they are not free.

If you use Vista, the MS decoder are very good

... but since you got XP (reading your posts) you might want to try AVIVO for free if you got ATi ... and if ... well - if you provide more info we can supply better and more accurate answers

Sorry that i didnt gave enough info.

i am playing around with several settings.

Strange thing is, when i start MP and go to TV, it takes a while to get the menu/ and picture sound.
Currently i am using the InterVideo Video decoder and the Intervideo Audio decoder

is this something todo with the hauppauge 150mce? some setting maybe?

I might be mistaking, but I believe this delay is due to the hardware encoder in the PVR.
