Country: | How to scan for channels with FloppyDTV DVB-C? Hi, I can't find any TV channels with my FloppyDTV DVB-C in Media Portal TVServer 3.0, but I can see the TV channels in MyTheatre. How do I add channels in Media Portal? My provider is TDC Kabeltv, Denmark Do you use the new beta driver for the FloppyDTV DVB-C? Country: | I use the FireDtv-C and it works fine, simple select your country and press channels If your country/region is not available, create your own .dvbc file with notepad and place it in the tuningparameters\ folder of the tvserver Frodo |

Country: | Thats exactly what I do. When I scan for channels, the server says "no signal" and no new channels found (see screenshot), but when i open Mytheather I can see the the channels. Could it be my cabelsignal. Maybe it's not strong enough for Mediaportal Server, but strong enough for MyTheather? |

Country: | The error log file shows that something goes wrong when initializing the card. I cannot really explain what happens, so i added some logging and checks Pls try the upcoming SVN build to see if its fixed If not, pls post the error.log & tv.log files again Also make sure that: - card is removed from MP itself - card is not locked by any other applications (like mytheathre,sagetv,...) Country: | Hi Frodo, Now it works like a charm :-) I removed the two fixes recommended on http://www.digital-everywhere.com/cms/en/index.php (SP Hotfix for DVB + SP2 Hotfix for 1394) ....So don't install these to fixes from Microsoft. From http://www.digital-everywhere.com/cms/en/index.php: "Recommended -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We recommend that you install the following patches from MS, when using FireDTV/FloppyDTV with WinXP SP2: SP2 Hotfix for DVB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896626 SP2 Hotfix for 1394: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885222 " Last edited by classico; 2007-02-08 at 18:15.. |

Country: | Hello, I have axactly the same problem, I use Multikabel in the Netherlands with DVBC FireDTV setup. MyTheatre works like a charm but Media Portal refuses. I'll try to remove the hotfixes and check again. I'm not using the TV server (yet). I just installed the Media Portal client to do a tryout with the TV. Frodo, do you have any insights based on the logs above why things break? I will make a logfile before removing the hotfixes and create another one after installing the hotfixes. Maybe that will help in investigating the problem. |
