Unable to create DB after reinstall of TVServer

MediaPortal Version: TV Server Rev 13747
Windows Version: Windows 2003 SBS
1. TV Card: FloppyDTV
1. TV Card Type: Digital

Hi, I've been trying out the TVserver (using MS SQL Server 2005) for a few days now and so far it's been superb

. The only issue I had was trying to record with revision 13639 - the program files were created but were 0 bytes. So I figured I'd try upgrading to the latest SVN Rev 13747 which is when my troubles began! After uninstalling and reinstalling the tvserver and running the config it said it must delete and recreate the database (click ok) and then comes up with an error message: "Unable to create database: An error has occured while establishing a connection to the server". I have enabled remote connection as it was working on a previous install. The log file created has at the top "Unable to get list of servers" which i guess is the root of the problem.

I tried reinstalling the version that was previously working but no luck! Has anyone seen this problem before, i searched through the forum but couldn't find any other instances!

Any help appreciated!

I've attached the log file which hopefully should mean a bit more to somebody! if any more information is required please let me know as I'll happily help in anyway I can.

Look in Documents...\All Users\Applic...\Mediap...\gentle.config for the string "Data Source=<yourhostnamehere>\SQLEXPRESS" correct it and restart your machine

Hi I have the same problem, but If I change the Default Provider entry, and restart the PC.... after the restart the change is gone again and i cannot configure tvserver....

please Help!!
