for music playback, the current MP release doesn't use WMP at all. it has it's own internal player.

i'm not sure if it uses WMP for video playback.

Hi,

I am running WMP 11 besides MP without problems. As chenks stated, I could be that WMP is not needed at all with latest version.

Flip.
