Hi
I have 2 IPTV Cards enabled in TVServer. Both Cards are Independent from each other and working fine for themselves.
They have all channels in common. If I select for the two Cards the same channel (with different url) both channel working fine.
Now I want to Combine the channels. What happens now if I Combine the channels. There is no lock for the first Card if I stream the channels. If I select another channel on Card two MP thinks Card1 is free (but there is already running a stream) and kills it and use the URL of Card1 instead of Card 2.

Version is Mediaportal 1.8 on Windows 8.1
Is the same behaviour if I use the original MPIPTVSource Splitter or the combined

Is this known? What can I do?
Will TV3.5 fix it.

Thanks for help

    Hello

If I select for the two Cards the same channel (with different url) both channel working fine.
Sorry I don't really understand. How can the same channel have different URLs?
Maybe best to give a specific example...

Now I want to Combine the channels.
What do you mean by "combine"?

What happens now if I Combine the channels. There is no lock for the first Card if I stream the channels. If I select another channel on Card two MP thinks Card1 is free (but there is already running a stream) and kills it and use the URL of Card1 instead of Card 2.
Again, sorry but I don't understand. Maybe best to give a full example including channel names and URLs, and a step by step process explaining the result at each step.

    For example:
    "Channel A" URL = http://abc
    "Channel B" URL = http://def

    1. Tune Channel A with tuner 1 = success.
    2. Stop tuner 1.
    3. Tune Channel A with tuner 2 = success.

    etc.

Final comment: I don't see the problem in the log files either. It looks like tuner 2 successfully tuned 3+ HD and tuner 11 successfully tuner 4+ HD. The only thing I can guess is that the problem is with your URLs:
    http://localhost:8101/dvblink/direct?client=AAAAAAAA&channel=10540000
    http://localhost:8101/dvblink/direct?client=AAAAAAAA&channel=10760000

If the client parameter is the same then maybe DVBLink will replace the stream to tuner 2 when you tune with tuner 11 rather than creating a new stream. This is out of our control.
If you're using real tuners (eg. DVB-C, DVB-T/T2, DVB-S/S2) why don't you just use them directly in TV Server?

I'm sorry try to explain it more clear.

Using a OctopusNet with 2 Tuners with DVBlink

    First Tuner use that URL
    http://localhost:8101/dvblink/direct?client=AAAAAAAA&channel=......
    Second Tuner use:
    http://localhost:8101/dvblink/direct?client=BBBBBBBB&channel=......

Appropriarte 2 different M3U Playlist in dvbip Tuning Parameter Directory of TVServer

I have two IPTV Card Setup in Mediaportal
    DVBIP 1
    DVBIP 2
    using the different M3U Playlist.

Result of scanning are one channeliste (http://localhost:8101/dvblink/direct?client=AAAAAAAA&channel=......) on DVBIP1
    another channellist (http://localhost:8101/dvblink/direct?client=BBBBBBBB&channel=......) on DVBIP2

The channellist is not combined just mapped to each Card (Picture 1).
Everything work fine. Each Card get their stream
    Card 1: 3+ AAAAAA
    Card 2: 4+ BBBBBB
    (Working fine, LOG: Seperate.log)

If I Combine the channels. (Picture 2) the first channel (3+) will work (AAAAA). The second channel (4+)will not take BBBBB
It will take AAAAA, too. I never get two streams working (log: Combine.log). Everytime AAAAA is used.

    Hope it's more clear.
I use DVBlink because I will get EPG on the stream, too which is afaik not possible if I use the rtsp - playlist directly with OctopusNet.

Ahhh, okay - now I understand. Thanks! :)

    If I Combine the channels...
Unfortunately you can't do that. When you combine the channels TV Server loses the mapping for each tuner. Each of the combined channels will have two tuning details - one from each of the original uncombined channels. TV Server will think it can use either/both of the tuning details to tune with any of the mapped tuners. To say it another way: each tuner that is mapped to a combined channel must be able to tune all of the tuning details.

In short: you can't combine the channels.

I use DVBlink because I will get EPG on the stream, too which is afaik not possible if I use the rtsp - playlist directly with OctopusNet.
AFAIK it is possible if you add the PIDs.
    Have you seen this?

    Hi,

I've just switch from an internal dual DVB-S to a SAT>IP box and I think I'm having the same issues. Both the tuners have access the same channels and they all work fine when I'm only using a single tuner, however when I try and use two tuners (live TV + Recording) I get very bad stuttering or a black screen.

I'm also using DVBlink, VLC and XBMC work great with both tuners at the same time. Is there anyway to get the two tuners to work in MediaPortal as I prefer it to XBMC.

    Thanks
