Audio renderer selected for Video player is now used for TV. ie, I have videos set up for digital output (to watch films through amp) and tv set for speakers.
All worked fine in previous versions up to and including RC1 refresh - could be a result of the following fix, I don't know if other codec selections are affected too:
0001228: [My Videos] MyVideos uses codec configured in Televison for *.ts files (gemx) - resolved.
Temporary solution is to keep changing between in video config (either within Configuration.exe or mediaportal).
Can post logs if really required..
(off topic a little)
Is there any way to send output to both the speakers and digital out at the same time? XP does this in the driver but no more for vista, if anyone knows a solution I'd like to hear it - thought there must be some 'shim' codec or something out there? Particularly annoying for music where I don't always want to listen through the amp...
