We are proud to annouce a new beta release of Avalon for MediaPortal 1.2 Final!


We have been designing and developing for about one year on a 1920x1080 skin that will offer a clean
and simple layout without compromising the ever growing need for information at a glance.
You will have the choice between several layouts to suit your needs. All configurable from within MP.
(A special thanks to the StreamedMP Team for sharing their code and inspiration)
As you all know from "Maya" we hold on to the concept of making all screens as consistent as possible
for a better user interface experience. (should also enhance the WAF)

The skin uses the great patch system written by the StreamedMP team. This allows you to update the skin while mediaportal is running.
If an update is available a small notification icon will be visible on top of the BasicHome.

OK finally got this downloaded on Wifi on the train...

Out of interest, why an exe installer and is it intentional that you can not install the skin without moving pictures? (the option to not install is disabled in installer)

I used the nsis installer because the fonts are not installed by mpe.

The movingpictures dll is needed for the plugin parameter start option in the basichome editor (same as in streamedmp).
