Really simple fix. I have re-created the Weather and the recent item overlays background images (the dark shadows) so that they are actual size to remove aspect errors in resizing smaller images and they also both align correctly.
i.e. This....
turns into this... (minus the rounded corners of the episode image, that is another mod)
No XML file changes are needed so this is compatible with any recent version of StreamedMP and should also work with any future version that uses the existing image files. Simply put the two *overlaybg.png files attached to this post into C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\StreamedMP\Media overwriting the existing files (taking a backup of the old files just incase)
Then clear the image cache and restart MP. (i.e. Close MP, delete the StreamedMP directory in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Cache\, and restart MP)
