Why is this important?
Comskip is great, but too often it makes mistakes and skips over vital portions of the program. Sometimes, you just aren't sure and just need to check if comskip goofed for yourself. Other times you actually do want to just watch the commercials. When any of that happens people have to go to the computer, shut down MP, find the comskip setting and disable it, then relaunch MP, navigate back to the program they were watching and play. Afterwards they have to go back again to re-enable it. The alternative is to clumsily scrub through the program hoping to get lucky and rewind to the exact second following the comskip exit point.
*sigh*, This is such an annoyance that I have decided to no longer use comskip.
Wouldn't it be easy to add a control to the MP client so that we could turn comskip ON/OFF without leaving the couch?
