I have an issue where MediaPortal is crashing on a regular basis. When I run it in debug mode, it seems to work fine, but when I run with all plugins, etc loaded, the following happens...

...I thought maybe it's because BONJOUR is not there, so I tried to find it to install, but failed. Also...I saw talk in other threads saying that's fine. Now what I need to figure out is where these other exceptions come from, and how to fix them!?[DOUBLEPOST=1452720093][/DOUBLEPOST]Minor correction, it looks like WIFIREMOTE has a direct line right in the app. I installed bonjour. I will post back if there's still an issue (I suspoect there will be)

    Hello again Danny

I have an issue where MediaPortal is crashing on a regular basis.
    Sorry to hear that.

When I run it in debug mode, it seems to work fine, but when I run with all plugins, etc loaded, the following happens...
That indicates a plugin is likely to be responsible for the problem.

The log file excerpt you've provided is not particularly helpful. Instead of excerpts, could you please use the provided Watchdog tool with option 3 ("export existing...") to collect full log files. That way we'll get access to the Windows application event log, and we should be able to see exactly which plugin is causing the problem.

    Regards,
    mm

Sure...I've also reverted back to the TITAN skin, but the same problem persists. I will post back once I've got the logs collected. (should I be worried about them containing sensitive data? Can I upload them here without worry?)

I guess that depends what you consider sensitive. Feel free to look through the zip file yourself if you're concerned. MediaPortal doesn't collect usage information or "phone home".

I have captured full logs in the zip, but am a little uncomfortable uploading the full zip, as it is quite large, and I have no idea what plugins might be logging. From Application_eventlog.csv I pulled the following...

It was already disabled.[DOUBLEPOST=1452724849][/DOUBLEPOST]Also...disabling the plugins...I did disable them, and things seemed to run longer, but I didn't leave it running for hours or anything like that, so that may be a red herring.[DOUBLEPOST=1452724989][/DOUBLEPOST]Here's my logs. Hopefully you can spot something there that I couldn't make sense of.

    The intrigue deepens...!

I know that when I've seen similar crash logs in the past, the cause has typically been related to the file existence cache option. Perhaps one of the plugins you use has implemented similar functionality. Given that the application event log doesn't reference a specific plugin and that you prefer not to provide the full log files (which is fine - they may not be all that helpful in this case anyway), my next suggestion would be to revert to the "trial and error" approach. That is: if we assume that one of your plugins is causing this, it should be possible to identify that plugin by disabling all plugins and progressively re-enabling them. When the crashes return, the plugin which was most recently enabled is most likely to be the cause of the crashes.

I did attach the full logs above, and I have since run it in debug mode, and it still ended up crashing. So it appears that it is not a plugin, since I believe debug mode disables those!?

Any suggestions? (I thought I was getting close before this started up)
