Dark-Maya ---> the Dark-Mod

Hi there,

First of all:

BIG 2 the "Maya-Crew" - it IS an amazing skin

Maya is developed by:

Design & concept: Joost 'Joostzilla' Scholte, the Netherlands
Lead coding: Mikkel 'Pilehave' Jensen, Denmark
Coding & hosting: Nico 'Ncoh' Hartmann, Germany
Development and innovation: Andy 'ajp8164, USA

althought it is amazing,
i just did some little modifications on the Maya-skin,
which made things better recognisable for me as a video-projector user.
more contrast and better readability ...

so i do the "Lord-Vader" job ...
step by step i will modify Maya and bring "her" to the dark side ...
so maybe some of you would also have the skin a bit darker ...
(i love it dark )...

HOW 2:

install normal Maya

EDIT & NEW:

after installing Maya
- make all settings in "MePo Config -> Plugins -> Maya Settings"
you wisch to have. (Fanart on/off, MP-TV-Series - etc.)
Save it !!!
and look if all is set like YOU want to have it !!!!
(Test it by using MePo)


next step:

than create a new folder in:

C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Dark-Maya

name it Dark-Maya
copy the content of the normal Maya-Folder in the Dark-Maya-Folder

than - just take the RAR file ...
extract it - and copy it to the Dark-Maya folder


if you don't make the "SETTING" step first -
DARK-Maya will react like "fresh and new" installed maya
couse the later done Maya-Settings will NOT
save to DARK-Maya only to normal Maya skin folder.

also if you CHANGE settings in Maya - you have to Re-Install/Copy Maya into Dark-Maya
and copy again the Dark-Mod

maybe Joostzilla will have a good day and make a MPE1 for Dark Maya one day in the future

as a result of it - maya will look like the screenshots below .

if update - don't forget to emtpy the skin cache -
without that - you wont have the changes visible.

new recoded in a deep dark colored design ...

hmmmmm does anybody know a share/free programm
for combining two PNG-grafics?

i only know photoshop - but for such a small grafics-job
the licencs is tooo expensive.

weißt du ob man bei gimp auch semi-transparente teile übereinanderlegen kann ?
