Hi Guys,

i read in the german c't magazin about the TV 2.0 called hbbTV.
It is a nice to have feature and i think the Teletext 2.0 solution.

but why did you start this poll? do you want to start developing such a plugin?

I did already some reading about this topic, this can be quite big work:

• the DVB stream has to be parsed for AIT (Application Information Table)
• this table either contain some hyperlink to internet based content or
• it contains a CE-HTML page
• you need to create/find a CE-HTML renderer that can i.e. overlay or contain MediaPortal live tv

If you have ideas how to do this, please tell us

hi all,

I know this poll is a few months old, however now that reality of hbbtv is actually here, I see no chance that a Mediacenter could not have it, I mean we already have the receiver, lets expand it to be hbbtv compatible.
I think this is a major must have in future systems, and will dramatically change the way people will interact through tv. Most propably this technology has a bigger impact on tv sets and viewers etc than 3d-technology will ever have...

I also hope someone writes a plugin. Just came back from a recent report by Galileo. Is damn cool hbbtv !!!

Hi,
i want to try to keep this a live again.

Unfortunately i am not a developer, but i collect some information about HbbTV and how we maybe can use it with MP.
So what i guess is, the plugin Custom Data Grabber is a good start point.
If i understand it right, it should be possible to develop a custom grabber for the HbbTV url. That's the main goal, i think we have to reach.
The information then have to be passed to a CE-HTML capable browser. As far as i know can Opera be used to view this site.

I'm nota developer as well but I think mp should definetely get this feature! And from my point of view I could'nt think of any
other piece of technology that would be prepared better than a pc equipped with tv signal and internet....

Just got a new Receiver yesterday (Megasat) which get's the HBBTV over the Internet - and I need to say - wow - this has potential - woud love to see this in MP too.
