Problem: When I watch a high bitrate video (10+ Mb/s) on my desktop monitor using MediaPortal, and at any point use skip steps to skip forward, it plays back at 4x speed. I've tried letting it play for a few minutes; it does not ever go back to 1x speed unless I stop the movie and restart from the beginning and do not use skip steps from that point forward.
Using my TV, none of this occurs.

Hardware:
Desktop Monitor connection chain ... GeForce 970 GPU ----[DVI]----> Monitor
TV connection chain ....................... GeForce 970 GPU ----[HDMI]----> AVR (video passthrough) ----[HDMI]----> TV
Software:
MediaPortal Configuration:
-- Dynamic Refresh Rate is not enabled since my TV does not support this
-- Using latest LAV filters and these are selected in all places of the Codecs and Renderers section of MP Configuration (Automatic Decoder Selection is disabled)
NVIDIA Control Panel:
-- No special settings for MediaPortal.exe or anything related
-- VSync is set to allow the application to decide
-- Multiple display performance mode is enabled
For what its worth, the problem does not occur in VLC when skipping forward (I understand VLC is completely different). VLC can play original Bluray source without a hitch no matter what I do.
Other Info:
-- Not plugin-specific as expected - this occurs in both MovingPictures and MP-TVSeries with the same file
-- Does not occur with video files around 5 Mb/s (sorry I have not tested anything in between)
-- I'm not sure if this problem always existed or not, but I don't think I've ever tried watching a high bitrate video on my desktop monitor
Thanks in advance for any advice.
